Before Brazilians and foreigners enjoyed a lively performance by the Beija Flor samba school from Nilópolis, the president of the Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES), Rodrigo Bedoya, highlighted the tremendous efforts made to bring high-profile speakers to this edition of the conference (which he considers to be the best in a long time), in order to “forge new experiences in the international insurance community.”

The president of Brazil’s National Confederation of Insurers (CNseg), Dyogo Oliveira, stressed that this FIDES Conference, organized by CNseg, “was designed to be a special moment for the sector, demonstrating the importance of insurance as a fundamental instrument for social development.”

FIDES Rio 2023 will run until September 26, bringing together dozens of national and international speakers, who will address topics of interest to both the insurance market and society in general, such as climate change, environmental, social and governance issues, digital transformation, cybersecurity and much more.

The international speakers will include former British prime minister Tony Blair and Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman.  Follow full coverage of FIDES Rio 2023 at www.fidesrio2023.com.br and on our social networks.
